Greg Snell was chosen Volunteer of the Year for the Volusia/Flagler Family YMCA at their annual meeting on April 7, 2011. Mr. Snell has been a Y volunteer for twenty years and currently serves as the Chairman of the Board. He began his association with the Y through the request of a fellow member of his Daytona Beach Leadership Class in 1990 to serve on the Camp Winona Board of Management. Prior to the merger of the Greater Daytona Beach Area YMCA and the West Volusia Young Men's Christian Association, Inc. Mr. Snell served as the Chairman of the Board for the Greater Daytona Beach Area YMCA. He is about to begin his second term as Chairman of the Board and received awards in 2001 and 2004 for outstanding service, dedication and leadership.
